One of the leading savings and credit societies in the country, Unaitas, has finally opened its doors in Embu & Meru towns to serve the residents of the region.
Speaking during a launch dinner in a Meru hotel, Unaitas Chief Executive Officer Mr Tony Mwangi said opening the Meru branch came immediately after opening a branch in Embu and Kisii making meru the 22nd branch with a core reason of serving the locals and providing an avenue for financial products that are tailor made to support people in all sectors.
Mr Mwangi added that Unaitas has invested heavily in personnel and products that are currently required in the market and those that suite to the economy.
Unaitas has several loan and products ranging from Maono Investment Loan to Biashara Loan to Project Loan to Asset Finance Loan to Inuka Loan to Kilimo Poa to Advance Salary to Advance Business, Quick Fix School Fees and Insurance services.
Others are savings account products like; Jipange Investment Account, Jolly Junior Savings Account, Fixed Deposit Account, Biashara Current Account, My Chumz Chama Account, and Biashara Current Account.
Unaitas now joins a group of other savings and credit societies in Meru region a situation that has made Meru County the home of cooperatives.
